Michael returned to the Millennium Stage in Washington DC.
In 2002, while Michael was gaining raves for his portrayal of Georgio in the Kennedy Center's Passion (part of the Sondheim Celebration), he also took time to hit the Millennium Stage with his own band.

Before departing for Chicago to take part in the Ravinia Festival's Sunday in the Park With George, he took time to stop at the Millennium Stage performing songs from his debut album.
