Stage brothers Todd and Michael Cerveris will play another set of famed acting siblings in The Booth Variations which makes it world premiere at the 59E59 Theatres in New York.

The Moonshine Project presents the multi-media work which centers on Edwin Booth and his infamous brother John Wilkes Booth at the Manhattan venue, Aug. 5-22 with an opening scheduled for Aug. 8.

The Booth Variations uses "video, soundscape and performance (both live and pre-recorded) to create a surreal meld of past and present," according to show materials. The work, which has been developing for three years, is the product of a collaboration by Todd Cerveris, Nick Philppou and Caridad Svich.

Todd Cerveris (Twentieth Century) portrays Edwin Booth, the actor for which the Broadway theatre is named, and his brother Michael Cerveris (Tony Award-nominated for his turn as Abraham Lincoln's killer in Assassins) again plays as John Wilkes Booth (on video).

Phillipou, co-founder of the The Art Party (Elle), directs the work which also features original music by Michael Cerveris and Will Johnson. Playwright-songwriter Svich (Alchemy of Desire/Dead-Man’s Blues, Any Place But Here) co-writes the text with Todd Cerveris.

Tickets to The Booth Variations at 59E59 Theaters, 59 East 59th Street (between Park and Madison Ave.) are available by calling (212) 279-4200.
